Prostitution racket: Actor arrested in Thane

Police in Thane arrested a 41-year-old actor for allegedly running a prostitution racket, coercing aspiring actresses into the illegal trade. Acting on a tip, authorities sent decoy customers and caught the actor accepting money. Two women active in television serials and Bengali cinema were rescued and sent to a shelter home, while a case has been registered against the accused.
